From time to time, we here at Dandelion End meet people who are, themselves, at the inquiry stage of moving to the country. Perhaps it is only a casual meeting at work, or in the store, or by blog surfing. On occasion, we have family and friends who have a question about a common interest.
Since we are not experts, and don’t pretend to be such, we’d like to offer a list of resources we’ve found helpful. This isn’t to say we don’t discover, or rediscover, certain bits of knowledge, understanding or wisdom on our own, but we do want to give credit where credit is due. Therefore, I have included a list below.
The only other thing I might add is that some of what wisdom (or at least knowledge) we do have has been passed along to us, face to face, or via telephone, from family, friends, or acquaintances. It is unfortunate that no real forum exists for giving personal credit in these cases. Suffice it to say that we owe a great debt of gratitude to many people, and that, more than likely, the reader will find his or her own resources of this nature. If none directly come to the reader’s mind, some information may be had by asking questions on blogs, at the local farm co-op, or at the local farm store.
